Your Privacy is most important to us.
Who we are
Probability AI ("Probability AI", "we", "us") operates this website and is the controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy. We are an early-stage project operating from Germany, not yet a registered company, and not commercially active: this website supports a private alpha limited to invited testers.
For any question about this policy, or to exercise the rights described below, write to privacy@probabilitylabs.ai.
Scope of this policy
This policy covers personal data we process when you visit and use this website. It does not cover the products and services we provide under a separate agreement, and it does not cover third-party websites we link to.
We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR") and the data protection law of the EU member state that applies to us.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you submit the contact form we collect your first name, last name, business email address, company name, the topic you selected and the content of your message.
Information collected automatically. When you load a page, our hosting provider records standard server log data. This can include your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, the page you came from, and your browser and operating system.
Information stored in your browser. If you use the language selector, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the key plang. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.
We do not ask for special category data (for example health or biometric data) through this website, and we ask that you do not send it to us.
Why we use your data, and our legal bases
Answering your enquiry. We use the details you submit to respond to you, to discuss a demo or pilot, and to keep a record of that correspondence. Legal basis: the consent you give by ticking the consent box before submitting the form (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Running and securing the website. We process server log data to deliver pages to you, to keep the site available and to detect and prevent abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure, functioning website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Meeting legal obligations. Where the law requires us to keep records, for example commercial or tax law, we process data on that basis. Legal basis: compliance with a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
Remembering your language. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in showing the site in the language you chose (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We do not use your personal data to make automated decisions about you, we do not profile you, and we never sell your personal data.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries: for as long as needed to deal with your request, and for up to 24 months afterwards so we can continue an interrupted conversation.
- Server logs: deleted or anonymised within 30 days.
- Language preference: stored in your browser until you clear your site data.
- Business records: where a customer relationship begins, we keep the records for the periods required by commercial and tax law.
When a retention period ends, we delete the data or anonymise it so that it can no longer be linked to you.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. These are the service providers that help us run this website:
- Hosting and form handling: IONOS SE, which serves this website, and DeployBase, which receives contact form submissions and stores them in the European Union (Scaleway, Paris).
- Email: IONOS SE, which provides the mailboxes our messages arrive in and processes them in Germany.
- Domain registration and DNS: Namecheap, which registers our domain, and IONOS SE, which resolves it. Namecheap is based in the United States; IONOS SE is based in Germany.
- Fonts and images: served from this website's own domain. No third-party font or image service is used.
We may also disclose personal data where we are legally required to do so, or where it is necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Data location and transfers
Contact form submissions are processed and stored within the European Union by DeployBase (Scaleway, Paris). Website content and email are processed and stored in Germany. Our domain is registered through Namecheap, which is based in the United States and holds the registrant details recorded in the domain registration. Apart from that registration record, no personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area.
You can ask us for more information about where your data is processed by writing to the address in section 1.
Cookies and local storage
This website does not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. We do not build profiles of visitors and we do not share data with advertising networks. That is why you will not see a cookie consent banner on this site.
The only information we store in your browser is your language preference. It contains no identifier, it cannot be used to recognise you, and you can remove it at any time by clearing site data in your browser settings.
We do not set cookies for analytics, advertising or tracking. Our hosting provider may set a strictly necessary technical cookie to serve the site; it is used only for that purpose and does not track you.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the following rights:
- Access — to find out whether we hold personal data about you and to receive a copy (Art. 15).
- Rectification — to have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected (Art. 16).
- Erasure — to have your data deleted where we no longer need it (Art. 17).
- Restriction — to limit how we use your data (Art. 18).
- Portability — to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format (Art. 20).
- Objection — to object to processing based on our legitimate interests (Art. 21).
- Withdraw consent — at any time; this does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it (Art. 7(3)).
- Automated decisions — not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing (Art. 22).
Exercising your rights, and complaints
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@probabilitylabs.ai. We will respond within one month. If a request is complex we may extend that by up to two further months, and we will tell you if we need to. Exercising your rights is free of charge.
If you believe we have processed your data unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. You can contact the authority in the EU member state where you live, where you work, or where the alleged infringement took place. We would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.
How we protect your data
We serve this website over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), restrict access to enquiry data to the people who need it, and keep our service providers under contract. No system is perfectly secure, but we take technical and organisational measures that are appropriate to the risk.
Your operational data and AI
If you become a customer, the operational data you connect to our platform — such as purchase orders, freight or supplier data — is processed under the agreement between us, not under this website policy. We do not use your operational data to train our models, and we do not use it to train third-party models.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the website and our company evolve — for example when we complete our company registration or add a new service provider. The version published on this page is the version that applies. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
